Looks like the Colts had already signed assistant coaches for McD's staff. The new head coach is going to have to work with the assistants that were already hired for the guy who didn't want the job afterall.

There has to be a legit reason McDaniels spurned the Colts. Read somewhere today that there was more uncertainty reported about Luck’s shoulder. Perhaps Irsay wasn’t being forthcoming about this information? I refuse to believe that Indy is completely innocent in this case.

Not exactly. Parcells ' retired' and BB had been DC...he was promoted to HC, to replace BP, but then changed his mind the following day, to become HC of Pats.

Similar, though...I'm sure BB coached him on how to back out with the Colts.

If the newest rumor is true about McDaniels being guaranteed the Patriots job post-Belichick, then yeah, McDaniels did them dirty; but so did New England as a whole.
