i said we'd ultimately release him when he refused to back up brissett because nobody would want to give up picks for someone who quits

appreciative for the good times but glad we're moving on - pretty interested to see the rest of his story unfold - now lock this damn thread and let us act like we still won't continue to argue about him for years to come

It will be the one remembered, but this is false.

Kyler’s last passing attempt as a Cardinal was an 8-yard completion to Greg Dortch on 2nd and 9.

Kyler’s last play as a Cardinal was a handoff to Emeri Demercado for zero yards on 3rd and 8. :bang:
I’m shocked that wasn’t true.
Shocked I tell you.

300 million reason over 6 years. Way more than he deserved.
Wait until you hear about Deshaun Watson and his 5 year $230,000,000 fully guaranteed deal that earned him $12,000,000 per game played or $25,000,000 per win.

Also, you exaggerated a bit about Kyler, it is 10 years at $295,000,000 or about $29,5000,000 a year. That is actually pretty average for an NFL starting QB. Kyler has collected to date $169,991,784 and averaged $25,000,000 a year so far. If we are going to bash him, at least be honest with this data.

He will before it’s all over.
No he won't, there are several big bonuses still due over the next couple of season he will not see, which is about $85,000,000 in bonuses he won't see, but the base salaries over the next two season.

My point was the cardinals made him a very rich man. He could have worked with the Cardinals to facilitate a deal.
Doesn’t matter. He’s gone.
Good riddance.

Last post on this thread for me.
Kyler is gone. He was never going to succeed here. We’ll never know what went on behind close doors with him and MO and JG.
If ML believed for 1 minute he had the key to unlock Murray’s ability he would have been jumping up and down on Bidwill’s desk and probably wouldn’t have taken the job.
Kyler will have some good games. He will make the highlight reels. But when the pocket closes in on him we will see him in a fetal position.
Let’s see him win a clinching game to win the division or make the playoffs or win a playoff game.
We’ve waited and waited and waited. We’ve made excuses for him. We gave him the benefit of the doubt.
So now for us it comes down to who was right. The lovers or the haters. If he delivers well then it’s a true testament of this franchise. If he fails it will be one of the few things this organization did right.

No argument that this is the reality of stopping Kyler "closing the pocket on him". Teams figured that out and because of his size he can not throw accurately while in the pocket. Additionally, since his ACL injury, he isn't the runner like he used to be. He runs scarred and just will throw dumb passes. I don't see him being successful no matter where he goes and I'm not a Kyler hater just realistic.

I don't consider that a dig subtle or otherwise. Its just true. Can't hide from the truth.
Odd time to bring it up, right? Because it is a dig. Just say thanks to the fans and thanks to the team that brought you into the league and you're good. Definitely a dig.

A truthful, correct dig nevertheless. 77 years of Bidwill mediocrity. It was a shot at him, not the fans. You shouldn’t be upset about it.
