However, you don’t think Kyler and his crew are laughing it up at Bidwill and the FO? The fact they only won 1 game without him? I don’t know Kyler personally, but I just have a feeling Kyler and his people believe they are on the right side here.
I don’t think Kyler cares or thinks about this at all. That’s maybe part of the problem.

But it’s just a mindset thing in professional sports that when you’re out you’re out. People who need to prepare for Atlanta or now Cincy need to focus on that. Whatever time they have away from the sport is tuned to family, other business interests, or relaxing/gaming.

There IS a really nasty bug going around. My wife and I and several family members have been sick with it. It is NOT fun and should NOT be shared with others, it is very contagious. So, if Kyler stayed home because of it then he did the right thing.

There's plenty to criticize Kyler for but I'm not going to on this.
That is not overreactionary in the slightest. You have to stamp your feet and come on here and say how bad K1 is and only thinks of himself with zero proof.

How dare you?

Dave Pasch casually dropped “Maybe Kyler Murray comes back” at the end of the postgame show tonight.
I suppose Mike and maybeee Monti could throw Gannon and crew under the bus for benching him and pledge to Kyler that they will put the scheme and team around him to be successful

that feels like trying to draw an inside straight

Yeah it feels like we have few options for 2026 and all of them are bad.

Second thoughts on this. I think Hannon decide to ride with Brissett. However, putting Murray on IR saves face for the whole regime. It leaves the door open for Kyler to return.
“ I didn’t bench him. We didn’t want to risk a serious setback for Kyler”
Benching Kyler would embarrass Kyler and slam the door shut on any chance of him remaining here.
Petzing is replace. We pass on drafting our QBOTF. We invest heavily in the offensive line and rb. Bidwill and MOJB will talk about the injuries and we will be told how Rosie the future looks.

I wouldnt even bother with this tactic if your Bidwill, M..

Just cut your losses and move on. I hope he doesn't try anything like this.

The only way this happens if the entire coaching staff is canned.

This staff doomed themselves the moment they decided K1 was not the QBOTF.

They could have rode it out with Murray, won a few more games, and the plan would have been to (desperately) build around him for 2026.

It wouldn't have been very sexy, but they still would have had jobs.

Placing Murray on leaves a built in excuse for this organization. Kyler could return and express he was unhappy because he “ felt” he was healthy enough. Gannon can stand by “ He wasn’t benched for Brissett”.
Bidwill saves a bunch of money( key factor) not having to pay Kyler or this coaching staff to leave.
Scary, but this angle becomes more and more a possibility.

Too bad this wasn't decided long before this staff got here. He never should have gotten "his bag" as they say.

The bug didn't keep him away from a trip to watch a playoff game lol

Can I just say, I love Bidwill, M., the name. We disagree on Kyler but this one makes me smile.

They should have done that and lobbied to have K1 traded at the end of the season.

JG also tied himself to BPB and that is really what doomed him. This offense is horrible in design and worse called on gameday. It is amazing what these coaches do. Just last night saw the Ravens move away from DHenry and lose the game.

I was like what on earth are they doing taking the dude out of the game?

I have seen the same thing with JConner and MHJ after a big play and think what the hell are you doing. Let these dudes play.

Now that's an interesting alternate universe BIM! :)

Who knows how would things have played out if they didn't pay Murray after 2021?
He would have ended up traded/being allowed to leave sooner than he is now. No way he gets that big payday after the following season.

JG not going to make it Slan.

Burrow and his teammates are checking their incentive clauses in their contracts this week, and the Rams are probably going to be playing for seeding (or the division?) in week 17.

Meanwhile BBQ, brave and valiant as he may be, is coming back down to earth.

We're losing out, and even Michael Bidwill can't stomach 3-14, and looking bad while doing it.

You know if he ever got wind of that name he would come unglued knowing his image and the history of the family.

It is exactly who they are. Money can't buy class and they for sure have tried.

HE was too sick to show up but sure made it to Oklahoma on Friday to be on the sidelines. Kyler is the king of bad looks.
Everything Kyler does right now is for his next team. Being at the CFP then calling in “sick” is a horrible look. Even if he really is sick.

I think it was @Mulli who said his teammates know the deal and they don’t care. Yes, they know the deal but some of them care deeply and it matters to them. I guarantee some of them are “eff that little pos”.

Kyler does more to hurt himself than help himself

That was Friday. Two days before yesterday. But, it don't matter that much to me one way or the other. Just looking on a more positive side. LOL
