But he didn't play mid.

He got us out of some serious sticky situations even with a crappy run game. Had we actually executed on special teams (blocked kick & botched coverage) this game would have been in the bag with zero sweat.
Hence why I said that's what people are disagreeing on. No one is saying bad (at least that I am reading)

Are these "seriously sticky situations" in the room with you now?

Name 3. Name 3 sticky situations from the 60+ plays that he got us out of.

Kyler on an island on his own. By far the easiest throws of any QB in the league and still performed worse than Stafford.

A whole bunch of QBs to his right making much harder throws with similar success.

That’s an interesting chart. Small sample size caveats and everything. This would only confirms what we already more or less were thinking.

I just hate soft metrics like “accurate throw percentage.” I can’t believe it screens out more noice than a real stat like completion percentage.

I guess it beats being bottom left & bottom right?

This accompanies the Brady clip. Shows just how much people with QB knowledge on a staff can help young
QBs.

This, imo, is the biggest issue facing the Cardinals moving forward. There is little to no high level QB coaching in this organization outside of now Brissett.

If true, that would be both shocking and disappointing.

I mean, MO/JG/DP's job security has a pretty decent coloration to K1's performance.

And bringing in a good QB coach should be one of the most minimal expectations for a GM/HC/OC.

Not saying you're wrong Chop, because the proof is in the pudding. But it still strains credibility.

Anyway. I guess it sucks to be us (again).

These are the best argument, imo, that 602 can make for Kyler.
That was very good and informative. This goes back to me always saying that the most important thing for Kyler to learn how to read a defense so he can rise up to the best that he can be.

i think kyler and petzing build on what they did in week one with less interference and smack some revenge upon the lowly panthers - this will spark much debate - i predict this thread will be on page 250 by game three

Sounds more to me like it sucks to be a QB almost anywhere in the modern NFL, because if I look around, I see top flight prospects failing in multiple cities. Very interesting piece however.

Its a good point.

I'll add that I think playing QB in the NFL, at say, a 7 out of 10 performance level, is really, super duper challenging.

Like, it's hard to play QB at a very good/great level in the NFL. Even more so to sustain that level over multiple seasons.

Not very many people on the planet are capable of it.

I think a lot of organizations don’t understand how to grow and develop a young QB. Ideal set up would be a former college/pro QB coach, vet backup, and defensive coach to assist. Add that to a HC or OC also with QB experience. That would be resources to help learn defenses, learn study and film habits, and understanding offensive game plan and scheme.
