I would give Kyler a pass if it was a pick on a long, contested throw or if the DB had made a great play on the ball. But, Kyler had a defender right in front of him and made a soft throw that had no chance of getting to Marv, and Trey was open on the play.

It’s those low intelligence plays that we have seen for 7 seasons now that make it hard for me to support him.
It was ps game 1...
Red jerseys/white helmets vs white jerseys/red helmet... it was just a brain fart....

It was a really bad, horrific throw. Like, really really bad.

It's also game one of the preseason. I'm not pressed.

TBF…the theme of the offseason and camp was consistency. In Kyler’s first live action, he was inconsistent. He was good, and then threw an awful pick. That’s what he is trying to improve.

This is more important than the INT

that deep in is important to establish -- and this isnt a route you see Kyler throw that often

you hit enough of them, it sets up Marv on the deep post if the safety tries to drive on what he thinks is a deep in

Agree he made a mistake. But he wasn't inconsistent.
Aside from the bone head interception he was what...8/8 for 97 yards or something?...
He technically completed 100% of his passes while averaging over 9 yards per attemp.
That's both consistent as well as being more explosive than he has been in years....with his normal 7.1 yards per attempt
But he screwed up no doubt....PS game one is where you want to see those errors.

Seen the video that shows the INT was a no look pass so even less bother by it.

I'd rather he not try that in that situation, and IMO opinion it wasn't the route or the coverage to try it either, but if you're going to experiment PS games is the time to do it.

I mean…isn’t being inconsistent doing a lot of things one way and having an unexpected error without real cause? Kyler wasn’t pressured. It wasn’t 3rd down. He wasn’t trying to make a high reward play. The defender didn’t make a great play. An inexcusable error that just can’t continue to happen.

New here and just want to state for the record that I'm not a fan of Murray. He's serviceable, can win games, maybe win a playoff or two but I cant wait to get rid of him. Also knowing he's better than QB hell. I'm hoping we trade him to Dallas for Dak even.

My biggest gripe is he refuses to get hit, will take sit down sacks and run around rather than step up and make a throw. In the preseason game Minshew got rocked and delivered a ball for a first down knowing he was going to get hit. I've never seen Murray do it.

Welcome to the board! It’s meatless Monday here, so I’ll have a smoked apple gose and black bean and corn salad with cilantro vinaigrette.
