He was hired to build a team around Murray and couldn’t do that. Hire someone else with expertise at finding and developing QBs, because no one on this staff has that on their resume.

What has Monti done to earn your loyalty? He’s 14-25! Expect more!

We're piling on Monti because we've through a lot of bad years of Keim. Again Monti has made mistakes. I just dont think its wrong to at least see what a year looks like with the QB of his choice. Just a year.

You think the actual roster has the smallest blame in a loss?
What I will say about Monti is its looking like he passed up one of the best rookie wrs ever.

Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network projected Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka to the Arizona Cardinals with the 16th overall pick in his final mock draft for the 2025 NFL Draft, noting Egbuka's polished play and pairing him with former teammate Marvin Harrison Jr. While the draft's outcome was different, Jeremiah expressed high regard for Egbuka, who was ultimately selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round

Terrible at getting backups for sure. So are other teams.

Im not saying Monti WILL get a great QB. Im just saying he deserves an opportunity to truly pick his guy.
So does Monti get another 3 years with his new QB? Just one? Is JG and staff gone in this scenario, letting Monti select a second head coach? I'm not down for that.

With this QB? This OC? Naw dog- egbuka would just be another guy on this team.
Its better than another DL who gives you nothing. And as much as we crap on MHJ there is still a major talent gap between him and Wilson.

He wouldnt be as productive as he is in Tampa. However, at least the talent would be obvious and there would be more calls for him to get the ball. Unlike Wilson who has barely cracked 50 yards on the season.

Isaiah Adams was a horrific reach by two rounds and is now starting. I would like to remind everyone Cooper Beebe and Christian Hayes both fell to round 3 and we mega reached for Adams. Watch the Cowboys sometime and see how Beebe is doing compared to the human turnstile. We just watched Hayes wreck our o-line a week ago.

Ossenfort is terrible.
I wanted us to draft Beebe also and was mad when we passed on him to draft Adams

I honestly think this thread is a bit weird.

Sure. We can discuss Monti’s results and performance.

But can anyone actually claim that these three lost game were due to a bad roster?

Between Kyler, Gannon, Petzing, Monti, I think Monti has the smallest blame. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t share the blame - just less IMO
The thing that irks me is the lack of investment in the offense this past offseason. Nothing added to the o-line and in what world is a healthy Zay Jones enough to compliment Marv. Just sat on $30m of cap after the defense was invested in.

Eh,...
They tried to get Freis but failed...he would have been a really nice upgrade for the line.
The simple fact is there were not a ton of available options that were upgrades on what we had...
I mean, damn...seems like anybody would have been an upgrade over Isaiah adams...but that's hard to know in March or april..especially with a young guy you are hoping will develop...
I do wonder why they didn't try for anyone other than fries, there were a couple young failed tackles who probably would have been upgrades at guard...
At wr there wasn't really any options...bodies, sure...but definitely better than jones?? Questionable at best...and at least kyler knows zay...
It was slim pickings on offensive upgrades in 2025... let's hope 2026 provides us with better options in the draft as well as free agency..

Again Monti isnt perfect, but this is something he deserves blame.

Put a lot of faith in Adams as well.

I’m shocked that in a Cleveland offense the WRs weren’t getting the ball.

Big P Brain hold my beer
PHNX crew said Drew still texts with Stefanski throughout the week to pick his brain.

I dont think its a coincidence that the guys who got the most out of the Wrs were Joe Flacco and Jameis Winston.

A guy who is ancient and seen everything. And the other guy who ignores reads and just gun slings everything.

The best thing to happen to Drew was JG getting hired in Arizona. or He'd likely be on the chopping block in Cleveland last year or probably fired as QB coach in New England (former Browns OC Van Pelt was OC)

Funny the whiners drafted a suitable QB in the 7th round I believe.

He’s no K1 but he is a good alternative. Why can’t MO do the same?

Judging by some of the comments on here, the coaching, GM, and ownership is exactly what some of you fans deserve.

Regardless of the results, they'll just mix red kool-aid into a jar of urine and y'all will just drink it all up.

Nobody working for this franchise is above criticism. Enough with the excuses. Why give anyone the benefit of the doubt?
Some people love mediocrity.

We have a thread on how great our 3rd string TE is while he offense is horrendous.

MO wasn’t even close to the first choice for this terrible organization. Only the desperate and cast out come here to work with the tyrant tiny owner.

If Kyler was the guy, he wouldn’t have so many embarrassing moments. He has the resources to get better on his own outside of the franchise. He has either not chosen to do so or it is also not working.
Kyler is definitely at fault. He hasnt done enough of things outside the Cardinals to make up for what he's lacking.

However, no matter how its spun. That offense had people thinking Baker Mayfield had reached a ceiling and was holding the franchise back. Both things can be true.

But that’s not possible and exactly how you become the Bears/Jets with a carousel of misaligned coaches/gms/QBs

Someone else said it and I will reiterate it. None of these guys have earned any benefit of doubt

Touche on the Bears/Jets points.

However, I just think thats part of the deal. Taking a job with Kyler and his contract was always going to be a tough deal. Once the Dolphins blow it up they'll be going through that with Tua.
