Wow. Did he really put Pacman, Plaxico and Fitz in the same paragraph?

Mike Freeman: the guy who predicted a ratings disaster for the Super Bowl. How he still has a job in journalism I'll never know.

What a terrible article. That is Bayless-esque writing.

I think he has a point. He loses credibility bringing up an alleged incident with Fitz, but the rest has some validity to it.

The NFL is so popular that people don't want to have to think about the transgressions that go on while they root for their team. Look at TO, although he's more prima donna than thug. Eveyone hates him until he's on their team and then they're TO apologists from that point on.

The fact that Leonard Little wasn't brought up is kind of surprising considering his history.

But there are thugs everywhere. I don't know if he's just so pro NBA that he's trying to balance it out, but there are just as many thugs there as in the NFL, they just don't have as many players.

That being said, I always find it funny when people condemn the very thing that brings in their paycheck. Don't preach from a pulpit when you're making money off the very thing you are disgusted by.

Ridiculous. Smears dirt all over the Kurt Warners and the Warrick Dunns of the NFL. Does he also realize that each team has 53 players, while most NBA teams have 13? Not to mention that there are two more NFL teams than the NBA.

I for one certainly remember Koby's rape arrest! Useless article, but it is amazing to watch an athlete in any sport self destruct or at least bring great damage to their character. My gosh, even swimming is now in on the action.

I understand some of his points, but let's look at the facts: the crowd brought out by the all-star game this year was far more "thug" than the crowd brought out by the super bowl last year. I mean we had rap moguls getting in fights in the W this weekend. NBA is still 100x more ghetto than the NFL.

Also, the NFL punishes its thugs, where the NBA lets them do what they do.

There is what like 500 NBA players and close to 1800 NFL Players? Seems like just as many NBA players get in trouble. Percentages, percentages.

Most Views & Comments: Hip-Hop Rumors: Suge's Reasons For K.O.? Scott Storch's Jail Prob! Lil Kim's Dancing Pix!

By Roman Wolfe
Hip-Hop mogul Suge Knight was treated at a local Scottsdale, Arizona hospital, allegedly for broken bones in his face, after he was assaulted by a man associated with R&B singer Akon.

Police were called to a private party hosted by Akon on the second floor pool area of the W Hotel around 3:30AM this morning.

Hotel security expressed concern to local police that an altercation was brewing between two parties in the VIP area.

As officers arrived, they witnessed one person identified as Robert Carnes Jr. punch Knight in the head two times.

Officers used tasers to break up the fracas and later arrested Carnes Jr., 38, of Pennsylvania and another suspect, Thomas Leon Anderson Jr, a 33-year-old resident of California.

Knight was transported to SHC-Osborn hospital, where he was treated for several broken bones in his face and released.

Anderson was charged with one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

According to Scottsdale police, Carnes Jr. is charged with one count of felony aggravated assault, due to the severity of the Knight’s injuries.

Both suspects were booked into Scottsdale City jail and are being held in custody.

Knight has had a number of altercations and run-ins with the law over the past year.

In May of 2008, Knight was knocked unconsciouss during an argument outside of a Hollywood Club, but failed to press charges against his assailaint, a local barber.

In August of 2008, Knight was arrested and charged with two counts of felony drug possession and one count of misdemeanor battery, after police claimed they had witnessed him strike a woman while holding a knife in the parking lot of the Las Vegas strip.

In December, a judge dismissed the charges without prejudice, after the prosecution had “discovery problems and witness problems.”
