The first pitch of the Ole Miss baseball game has been delayed.

The Rebels (21-10, 4-6 SEC) play at No. 19 Florida (23-8, 6-4) on April 3. It is the second game of a three-game series, and the first series for the Rebels in Gainesville since 2021.

The game was supposed to begin at 5:30 p.m. CT. About 30 minutes before the scheduled first pitch, Florida announced that the game will not begin on time due to nearby lightning in the area.

No concrete start time was announced. Additional updates on the first pitch will be provided when they become available.

Aidan King (3-2, 1.97 ERA) will be the Gator who throws the first pitch. He will face Ole Miss starter Hunter Elliott (3-0, 3.72 ERA).

The Rebels won the first game of the series 6-4 on April 2.
