The Oklahoma Sooners finished off their incredible run through the postseason with a 13-2 win over North Carolina to clinch the national championship. In the wake of their third baseball national championship, the Sooners took the top spot in the USA TODAY Sports coaches poll.

Oklahoma was unranked in the final poll prior to the NCAA tournament, which makes their run all the more incredible. The previously unranked Sooners went through No. 2 Georgia Tech, No. 15 Kansas, No. 16 Alabama, No. 3 Georgia, and No. 4 North Carolina to win the national title. National runner-up North Carolina moved up to No. 2, jumping Georgia, which stayed at three. Kansas moved up to No. 12, Alabama to No. 6, and Georgia Tech dropped outside the top 10 to No. 11.

The Oklahoma Sooners are one of 10 SEC teams in the final top 25, including six in the top 10.

The Sooners went 11-2 in the NCAA Tournament and played in just two one-run games. They scored eight or more runs in 10 of their 13 games and 10 or more in five games. The offense was great, and the pitching leveled up in the postseason.

In the final game of the year, the Sooners put the finishing touches on their postseason with an exclamation point in their win over North Carolina. Here's how the final USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll looks after the season.
