Don't believe the hype. Two historic offenses and guess who's on top when it's all said and done.

Rams scored 3 points, 3 freaking points when it mattered most.

Draft Nick Bosa at 1 and get after the QB

The NFL is simply fing crazy. Just when I think I have a clue to what works then this SB happens. We hired "the next McVay" and his team scores 3 points in the SB, WTF.

I must concede that Bellicheat is a genius and the best HC ever and Tom Brady is probably the best ever QB. Our hope has to be that KK can be even smarter than McVay and or Rosen is better than Goff.

I have a huge love hate relationship with the NFL.

You know what, I think the NFL FO divides the season into two seasons - fantasy season and then everything that happens after that. During fantasy season, people are scoring 50 points a game. offenses can't be stopped. Then as soon as fantasy ends, things seem to return to normal.

Highest drafted player on Patriots defense is Stephon Gilmore, 10th overall by the Bills.

And the Bills let him go to the Patriots for free when they could’ve tagged him.

Good defense. That Rams o-line was getting worked all night long. Goff looked very much like his 2016 self with all of that pressure in his face.

Dear God, that was an ugly game. I mean, I'm thrilled the Lambs lost, but at least there could have been more than two good commercials.

Goff looked about as average as I believe he is. My fear is that Rosen may not be any better. K2 may do for Rosen what McVay did for Goff. Problem is, that may bring Rosen from horrid status to what we saw last night.

Because experience, and know how is "boring".

But, hey, at least Kingsbury won in college......................no, wait.

Punting wins championships ?

I know this sounds insane and boring, but the punting that game was almost perfect for both teams.

In a low scoring game like that, and a kicker like the Rams has that can boot it from distance, field position was critical.

Thus punting was huge in that game, and very well executed.

Boring to me would have been a 31 to 3 game at halftime. I enjoyed the game because it is football. Even though the Pats controlled the game the Rams hung in there and every possession looked larger and larger. I’m surprised the Rams didn’t try and spread the Pats out with 4 or 5 receivers and go up tempo.

A really interesting endorsement for defense capability.

An equally interesting endorsement for "quickness" versus speed, and I'm talking about Edleman (sp).

I thought it was a good game. It wasn't really inept offense, it was amazing defense.

Offense gets you there but defense wins championships.

3 points from the child genius. Gotta give belicheck even more mad credit. Amazing.

I agree. Even though I was rooting for the Patriots, I wouldn't have lost any sleep had the Rams won. I thought it was a great game & enjoyed watching it. The refs let the D play a little & it made for a pretty good game.

The formula for succes seems to be a solid running game and good defense.

I liked the chess-match aspect of the contest.

Lesson learned - Copycat "trends" at your peril. The game over the long haul is characterized by new tactics met by adjustments countered by more new tactics met by more adjustments and so-on. (Note - a couple of years back, the so-called "experts" were decrying "the demise of the running game").
