New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will look to shine in 2026 despite missing the entire 2025 season.
Beckham signed a one-year deal with the Giants on Monday, and the veteran hopes to pick up where he left off in New York seven seasons ago. The star receiver most recently spent the 2024 season with the Miami Dolphins but played the 2023 season in Baltimore under current Giants head coach John Harbaugh.
Beckham says he spoke with the Giants about hiring Harbaugh following the 2025 season.
The veteran was highly impressed with the head coach despite playing under him for just one year. He told the front office that Harbaugh could change the team's culture and credited him with being one of the most attentive coaches in football.
"I kind of got a little call when they were looking at coaches. I won't say any names. I mentioned him specifically. I was in Baltimore. This is a man of God. This is a leader of men," Beckham said. "Truly from a football aspect, in those meetings, how attentive he was. Those little things that come up in a game that sometimes you often take for granted, he's very much on it. He leads in a very good way. He just was one of my favorite coaches that I ever had.
"I spoke very highly about him when they asked me who should be here. I believe they got just the right man for the job. Someone who can actually change the culture or at least start it in the right direction."
Pressed on who called him, Beckham wouldn't divulge.
"You know, somebody," he said with a laugh.
Beckham has recorded 7,987 receiving yards and 59 touchdowns across his 10-year NFL career. The veteran was working out in Arizona when he reached out to the Giants regarding Harbaugh, and he now finds himself under the head coach for a second stint with the Giants in New York.
Beckham could quickly prove to be a solid option this season under Harbaugh, as the former Giants superstar is officially back where he belongs.
