Problem is that a pass rusher is highly valued and most do not hit the open market. Chandler Jones is not as dominant as most but he is young and the Cardinals made the right trade. Dallas does not have a high pick, so again filling that pass rusher need will probably be the result of a trade

true at some point they have to draft one in the first round or trade as you say via draft or market. unless they get lucky those top notch ones go quickly. they also really need an anchor on the dline that can stuff the run game/ and perhaps 3 technique pass rush would be icing. of course not many of those guys exist on the planet as you say. their luck with drafting D-lineman has not really worked out, but they have taken a couple of dumb risks with guys that dropped for a reason and put money into the wrong people so they get what they deserve.
