Calling my shot - Cards land Kubiak, but have to keep Rallis as DC. Position coaches are going to be 1 year temp jobs and will be problematic, but overall the team improves.

I can't believe I'm aligning with Wolfley on this, but hey what do I know.

I like it, the Kubiak part at least.

Bidwill has invented a new catch phrase, “Make them an offer they can’t accept.” Get ready for the arrival of Vance Joesph.
Ha! Man… this board is and will always be a godsend for Cardinals fans.

Can any of you imagine how crazy we’d all be without a place like this to come to to laugh at the team/ourselves?

If they hire LaFleur, I think this guy would be an intriguing OC. As mentioned, they have been together for many years, first in San Francisco (2017-2020), and then the Jets (2020-2021). He has improved the offensive line everywhere he has gone - last time with the Seahawks this season. He obviously has a lot of knowledge of both Shanahan’s and Kubiak’s offense, which likely would be very reminiscent of LaFleur’s.

Some days ago I mentioned Adam Stenavich, Dave Ragone and Nathan Scheelhaase, and I still think they might be options. Look out for Thomas Brown as a dark horse. The Cardinals requested an interview earlier (I don’t know if they ever got it), and even though LaFleur never worked with him, Brown has worked many years for McVay.

Anyway, I started looking a bit at Benton’s work, and that was actually the reason for this post.

Kubiak is not coming here. He especially not coming here hamstrung.
I’ve accepted the fact it will be Ron Rivera.
Of course he was the guy we always wanted. What a shart show.

Seriously… there’s a narrative now that somehow we’re getting probably the number 1 most sought after coordinator from the likely Super Bowl champion but we’re also foisting some of last year’s staff on him for a year.

And he’s going to take that job… willingly… for the worst franchise in football… with no QB?

Folks… any of you that are even believing that for even half a second, what in the world are you smoking?!

Nah, another reason could be that he wanted the youth movement.
To what purpose? It’s not like these were just young assistants; a lot of them had no or almost no NFL experience. Plus, IIRC we had one of the smallest staffs in the NFL.
