I think its pretty clear that Kubiak will choose the Raiders.
I won't list all the reasons but they are pretty obvious.
I also doubt he wants to coach vs the NFC West

Maybe that’s the last thing he needs to earn a place in the HOF

When we trade Kyler we get $38m cap space back.

They have Mendoza and an absolutely dire roster. 90% odds they have a losing season next year.

I could sell the Cards easy. "We had a tonne of injuries last year. This roster is better than the 8-9 2024 roster. You have a better chance to win in you're first year. We have young talent that the Raiders don't have and a much better offensive roster, and if you're the offensive mind we think you are a dual threat vet QB and former #1. Or we can move him for picks and $40b more cap space. Going into 27 we will do whatever we need to do at QB in a great class (if needed)."
The length that you go is admirable, whew.

He has a wife and four kids. I have to think that where they would move to would play a huge part in his decision. Would they rather live in Greater Phoenix area or Las Vegas? I think Arizona would be a slam dunk!
Same...I also think he can pretty much bank on getting 4 or even 4 years minimum...unless he truly ***** the bed as a HC. In Vegas, Davis burns through coaches.

You say you can sell the Cards easy, but no one in their right mind is buying that pitch.

I think part of a GMs job is to accurately assess the likelihood of the various HC candidates, AND, understand when you are being used as a stalking horse.

Kubiak might be their #1 candidate, but the probability of him accepting your HC spot is pretty low.

so its about weighing the value of taking your shot on a low probability coach VS the value of hiring your 2nd best right now and starting on assembling a staff. Oh by the way, AND at least looking like "you got your guy"

I get the last part is an intangible value, but given where the rep of the org is right now, I think they could use some of that.

It's beyond absurd, and shows again no matter how much research you do, it certainly doesn't make you any kind of expert about the team.

"We had a tonne of injuries last year."
Fav excuse, and the biggest loser excuse that exists.

"This roster is better than the 8-9 2024 roster."
BASED ON WHAT?!!

"You have a better chance to win in you're first year."
Win what? Yeah buddy...the team with the WORST super bowl odds, no plan at QB, and a roster full of junk gives you a better chance...whoopie!

"We have young talent that the Raiders don't have and a much better offensive roster"
We don't have a much better offensive roster than any team in the league - just a laughable assertion.

"if you're the offensive mind we think you are a dual threat vet QB and former #1. Or we can move him for picks and $40b more cap space. Going into 27 we will do whatever we need to do at QB in a great class (if needed).""

The QB situation is ackshually great!!!

Just beyond delusional.

Both the Cardinals and the Raiders have significant warts.

What we don't know is what warts a coach is willing to deal with, what they think they can fix, etc.

Neither opening is a slam dunk over the other.

This is the real tell. You don’t close on your weakest argument. The QB situation is a disaster.

I don't think Vegas is a slam dunk. Sadly, our dumb and dumber combination does not inspire confidence. Monti's PR skills are non-existent.

Kubiak is my preference but Mike Lafleur is a good consolation choice.

Not really ya simply tell the coach his decision and his alone its not like Murray is bad and Brissett is a very proven backup plus he can draft his own Qb and use free agency for O line help leave it entirely up to him and give him a 5 year contract and blank check for salary Now will that happen tbh Not a chance in Hell but itwould give the fans some thing to talk and bitch about
