Just as a note, I read up on the hiring rules. Teams cannot request interviews with coaches that are still in the playoffs. That means, for example, that no team has officially requested interviews with Robert Saleh and Jeff Hafley, but that they plan to do it. That is also why it has not been reported that anyone has requested interviews with any of the Rams assistants, even though they supposedly will be in high demand, or any other. I expect them to interview at least Mike LaFleur, Jesse Minter and Joe Brady.

I could see a combination of Mike LaFleur (HC) and Raheem Morris (DC) back together, but that is probably a little beside the point.
They are able to have Zoom interviews with playoff coaches.

For those pounding the table for stefanski- he’s not coming here- too close of a relationship with petzing and Gannon.

Our first options should be Harbaugh or one of the two top coordinators in the nfc west in Saleh or kubiak

Saleh- clearly not the problem in his jets stint. They clearly regressed once he left, his defense played hard and what he has done with the niners 3rd string defense has been incredible. He can also raid Shanahan’s offensive staff

Kubiak- is making Sam darnold look like a mvp caliber QB, has only one downfield threat in JSN but somehow always schemes him open. This would be a huge loss to the Seahawks and a great offensive mind to work with a new QB and get this offense an identity again. He could also raid Seahawks defensive staff and hopefully get this defense a ******** again.

Harbaugh- if you are in your armchair questioning what Harbaugh could do for this team - then I don’t know what to tell you.

These are the coaches that have proven in some capacity that they can hang with the elite coaches of the nfc west and the two coordinators would directly weaken either the niners or Seahawks

I’m getting the feeling if Morris wants the job he will be our guy. Just a feeling.
Of course if anybody wants the job they will probably get it because they’ll be the last man standing. :)

No.

"A coach whose team is playing in the wild-card round can participate in initial interviews three days after their team’s wild-card matchup. Likewise, these meetings must take place before the end of the divisional round."

Darnold had a much better year the year before in Minny.
Stats wise, maybe...but like I mentioned in another comment, Kubiak held him together all season. Every time you thought it was time for Darnold to collapse and see ghosts, he pulled through. Darnold last season probably loses those late season games against the Rams and Niners, under pressure.

Darnold (and perhaps Kubiak)'s got a big test coming up. Can Darnold keep it together in this season's playoffs? A well respected offensive mind in the form of Kevin O'Connell couldn't keep Darnold from imploding in last season's playoffs.

well, the Harbaugh to the Cards dream was fun while it lasted.

LOL at that idea of in the interview, Harbaugh saying that step 1 is firing Monti

Bidwill, M. Beta can’t grasp this and would never do it.

We have to. It’s a hard sell to come to this circus.
Amen. I hate to be so negative, but for decades now, the Bidwill family have made so many bad decisions, that their reputation has cemented the fact that all we’ll ever see moving forward are retreads, young coordinators, or washed up HC’s that are looking for a place to retire. And not many of them will last more than 3-4 years. Cats out of the bag as it pertains to the Bidwills. Wash, rinse, repeat the rest of many of our lifetimes.

I saw an interview by John Harbaugh in 2024 talking about Anthony Weaver. Basically said that he will be a tremendous head coach and one team is going to strike gold and the others passing on him will be kicking themselves.

All coaches say that about their staff. Sirianni said it about and Gannon and Gannon said that about Petzing

I don’t live in Arizona but I have been a true Cards fan since about 73. I should have left them when Coryell got fired. I was young enough that I could have latched onto another team and nobody would have noticed. Here is sit more than 50 years later expecting this year, this draft pick, this coach to be different.
