He won’t be able to overcome the culture here.

We need a strong personality in the coaching spot that tells the idiots at the top to get out of the way and let me do what I know.

Nagy is a JAG Coach.
You may as well reserve yourself to the fact that that’s what we’re getting. JAG until that JAG can prove otherwise.

Why would I do that?

I have much higher expectations no matter what Bidwill, M. does when the dust settles. We all should.

Haven’t really heard this name much. @DVontel would he move the needle similar to Udinski?
Some of this is to also get a feel for potential OCs. If you are interviewing Vance, and you think there is a chance he wants to bring Webb with him to run the offense, you want to be familar with Webb if you can.

I get it, but you’re gonna be sorely disappointed. I don’t even let myself get those expectations. I know better. Mikey sucks. End of story.

This is a good point and I’m sorry I raised it.
K9, this is a rule put into by the good old boys club and their lawyers.
Vance Joseph is an insincere interview. He’s not coming here. If it wasn’t Saleh it would be a bit different. I would construe his interview as sincere and not just trying to conform to rules.

My comment about Joseph was all about how this organization operates.

Saleh I believe is of ethnic decent.

And for those that don’t like this policy then the NFL should do away with the dumbest most racist rule ever created.

While I agree I do think the fans helped to influence Mikey Bidwill, M. into firing JG.
I wish our local media would be shouting Harbaugh every day till he is hired by someone if it’s not us.

We have another golden opportunity to get a proven coach and instead we are talking about Matt Nagy.

Agree , but I believe Saleh is a bit more sincere candidate than the thought of Joseph coming back here.

Hey guys take the top 15 candidates .
Cross off the top 10.
Hope we can sign one of the 5 remaining candidates.
And finally we will be fed a line of bull of how “ this was the guy we always wanted and gives us the best chance to be successful” line.

I would love to be proved wrong.

I agree as well. VJ seems to be a really likable guy though. Someone you would really like to have in your organization but I agree that there are better options available if we go DC route again.

Eh. You can argue that both Arians and Whis were that for a while, and then they weren’t. And if they’re not, you fire them after two years.

This isn’t a marriage; there’s no community property. Fail fast. Take big swings. If you’re wrong, move quickly.

This is so true……………

I hate this team.

Super Bowl winning coaches out here to be scooped up and we are talking about scrubs and nobodies.

Wiz and Arians weren’t big swings though. They were dudes that really were low profile hires and really Arians was the only one that worked out.

Wiz was carried by Warner and no one will ever convince me different.

Yes, consider that Denver fired him as their HC and was still willing to support Payton bringing him in as his DC years later.

Well to be fair almost every good coach is carried or married to a good QB. That in no way negates what was accomplished here by Whiz. I AM thankful for him. Got to attend live and see our boys play in a SB. Whiz is absolutely a part of that. Not to mention the one who made the call to bench Leinart and start Warner over him starting that 3 year run.
