I think Daboll checks a lot of boxes. What does Bidwill want to see happen asap? We drafted a supposed generational WR in MHJ & he’s been pretty much a bust. Daboll did everything possible to get the ball to Nabers, while we did the exact opposite with Marvin. Bring in a guy who can develop MHJ. This franchise has to do everything possible to figure out what they may or may not have in MHJ. And while he’s at it, let him work with Kyler too. Even at 3, there are no college QB’s outside of Mendoza that will help this team at any point in time. And the FA QB’s are not a solution.

The #1 box he checks is the unemployment box

Dude has had some great OCs work with him, though...Arians, Haley, Smith and others. All have had success...even have made some average QBs look respectable.

He only had success with Big Ben, who is a first ballot HOF QB. Tomlin cannot beat good teams. He gets outcoached most weeks. He was outcoached last night at home & should have lost. I know Steeler fans that were openly rooting for Baltimore last night in the hopes that Tomlin would step away if they lost. The guy is literally hated in Pittsburgh.

It's really tough to throw out specific names when it's such a crap shoot as to which guys are going to be great head coaches. The Jags were laughing stocks a year ago when they hired Liam "DUVAAAAAL" Coen but all he has done is go 13-4 with a division title in his first year. In general what I want is someone who I feel comfortable with as the guy who's going to be able to excel in coaching and developing whoever the next Cardinals QB will be, whether that's Kyler Murray or someone else. Until they get the QB position figured out it doesn't matter who the coach is - without an answer at QB we'll just be going through this same discussion in another 2-3 years.

If we're going with coordinators with no HC experience, Kubiak is the one I'd like to see hired. As bad as I hate the "Shehawks" he will raid their staff if hired & their organazation is miles ahead of the Cardinals right now & have been for years. I'd love to have a defense like theirs.

He kept Darnold together all season. Every time you felt like the game was slipping away and maybe Darnold was having old flashbacks (seeing ghosts), Kubiak would rein him in.

I wonder if Shula would bring in Zac Robinson as his OC. I thought Robinson did a good job with the offense and utilizing London, Bijan and Pitts. Dwayne Ledford is the OL coach and run game coordinator in Atlanta and he did a good job with that unit as well.

When it comes to Tomlin, listen to Stout and I. Stay as far away from this guy as possible. We need an offensive minded HC this time around & Tomlin is an offense killer.

I am very familiar with Tomlin. I have watched probably 98% of Steelers games dating back to Cowher.

Just saw an article that we are the least desired landing spot for potential HC's. Hard to argue against it. We are ranked dead last at #6. Was really hoping Raheem Morris, Stefanski, and Carroll would be retained so only a few spots opened up, increasing our chance of landing a good HC.

MB needs to learn from the last cycle, open up the wallet and pay whatever necessary to land the likes of a proven winner like Sean Payton.

If I had to rank them...

ATL - because they have some options at QB, a decent roster, and the NFC South is mid.

NYG - I am not a big believer in Jaxon CTE Dart but he is at least a young QB who you may be able to coach away from taking head shots, the roster is good, and the division is not too tough.

LV - You have Mendoza, Crosby, Jeanty, Bowers, and Miler at LT. The AFC West is tough tho.

AZ - The division is tough and you have to figure out QB but the roster isn't awful and has very few bad contracts. The difference between LV and AZ is 2 draft spots which equals Mendoza.

CLE - I think the Titans have a better QB, but I think the next coach will be tied to it more than the CLE gig. You also get to start with some decent defensive pieces.

TN - It probably depends on how you feel about Cam Ward. A huge issue is they have several bad contracts and not much talent. Also, the division is sneaky tough now.

We need a coach who can override the culture that permeates this front office/franchise. If we don't get that type of personality in here, much like Bruce Arians and his dgaf attitude, then it won't matter who we hire. IMHO

Maybe. I don't know that any candidate carries that kind of weight but it could happen.

Just came here to say the same thing. Flores suing the league was enough to disqualify him. Wilks involvement solidifies it.

Then why doesn’t it disqualify him from being a coordinator? I don’t really think that tracks if somebody wants him, they’ll hire him.

He at least is an offensive coach, and has had a few years of winning. I can see both sides. It does avoid the learning curve that I think some people are over. I prefer him over McCarthy. TBF, it's not a great year if you want an offense candidate.
