He at least is an offensive coach, and has had a few years of winning. I can see both sides. It does avoid the learning curve that I think some people are over. I prefer him over McCarthy. TBF, it's not a great year if you want an offense candidate.
I’d rather steal an impressive OC from another team

Then why doesn’t it disqualify him from being a coordinator? I don’t really think that tracks if somebody wants him, they’ll hire him.
I agree with this. His issue, IMO, is the conservative nature of a lot of defensive coaches and then having a long term plan at QB and on offense.

Anyone CAN hire him. I just think the lawsuit and other crap would keep Bidwill from wanting to get involved. He isn't disqualified in any way by the league.

I think Daboll checks a lot of boxes. What does Bidwill want to see happen asap? We drafted a supposed generational WR in MHJ & he’s been pretty much a bust. Daboll did everything possible to get the ball to Nabers, while we did the exact opposite with Marvin. Bring in a guy who can develop MHJ. This franchise has to do everything possible to figure out what they may or may not have in MHJ. And while he’s at it, let him work with Kyler too. Even at 3, there are no college QB’s outside of Mendoza that will help this team at any point in time. And the FA QB’s are not a solution.
wow... you just keep 'em coming with ideas that will mire us in catastrophe.

The franchise has to revolve around MHJ and Kyler? Good lord man, give it up.

I don’t love Stefanski, but if he could bring Swartz along that would be a plus. Kyler would probably be one of the better QBs he’s had to work with(if they are trying to keep him).

Who? Kubiak? The Jags OC?

I agree in theory. The issue is that so many of these young, offensive guys are very young and inexperienced. Not every 35 year old can stand in a room of guys and get them to buy in. Not many of these young dudes have put in enough time to develop relationships to build a staff. They don't necessarily understand how to design a travel plan, offseason plan, and manage multiple areas of a team. It's not that it can't work, but it is way more complicated than many give it credit for.

Crazy to me that a lot of people want another losing coach in Stefanski….. It’s almost mind-boggling.
Im guessing you were one of the people who thought Vrabel was a bad coach because he was under .5 his last two years with the Titans.

I've haven't seen the article that ranks the AZ coaching opening as the worst of the six openings. The articles that I've seen have AZ ranked anywhere from #2 to #4.

The biggest negative is the unsettled QB position. I don't think residing in the NFC West, or any other division is really a concern for any aspiring NFL head coach. These are confident individuals at the highest competitive level of their profession. I don't think any of them worth their salt are afraid of any competition in the league.

We're easily the worst destination this coaching cycle. We're probably going to get a 6th choice in a year with no slam dunk hires

BTW I will delete my account and never watch another Cardinals game if we hire Matt Patricia or Josh McDaniel.

And you would be wrong. Even with two losing seasons in a terrible organization, still has an above 500 coaching record. Won multiple division titles and got his team to an AFC championship.

Empty awards that mean jack in the long run he’s a losing NFL coach PERIOD!
How do you feel about Flores? Or do you just want first time head coaches?

Its pretty rare that an experienced head coach with a winning record is available. Are you a Mike McCarthy fan? Pete Carroll is available.

I think flores is a good coach, but I want an offensive mind. I’m over a defensive minded head coach in this league as a general rule. Just my preference. I mean, Mike McCarthy has the résumé, but I feel the game may have passed him by.

But it’s hard to argue with an overall 61% winning percentage and a Super Bowl winning coach. But he also had Aaron Rodgers for many years. few coaches get that luxury.

We need a coach who can override the culture that permeates this front office/franchise. If we don't get that type of personality in here, much like Bruce Arians and his dgaf attitude, then it won't matter who we hire. IMHO
Bring in Belichick for a couple years. It's not like NC had a great year. Him butting heads with Mikey might be the most entertaining thing we can hope for with this team.

I guess I'd lean towards wanting Kubiak the most - harm a franchise in our division, coordinator on the rise, good bloodline who has seen how it's done... I just worry that the Seahawks go on a run, we wait for him to make a decision, and end up as the last team in the cycle to hire a coach while Kubiak picks a different situation.

Flores is off the table, he declined to continue in the interview process with us once already.

I think Stefanski will end up going to one of the teams with a settled QB situation, but he intrigues me as someone who might succeed in a new environment.

LaFleur is interesting. I don't know if I trust Joe Brady without Josh Allen.

I can see the reasoning behind a Mike McCarthy, but I wouldn't be doing backflips.

If it's Arthur Smith, I'll be sick.

I think this is close.

Atlanta is almost certainly getting Kubiak, Tenn apparently loves Nagy, Flores has heard Bidwill is racist from Wilks/added Wilks to his lawsuit, Raiders will have a rookie QB, Giants are the best job and get Stefanski.

Hopefully we take a shot on someone besides Smith.
