Brooklyn Nets forward Noah Clowney has been one of the more interesting players for the Nets over the past couple of seasons given that he was the 21st overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. With Brooklyn in the beginning stages of its current rebuild, Clowney is being counted on to improve in the ways that the team believes he is capable of and he has shown some promising signs.

Clowney, 20, is coming off a 2024-25 season in which he averaged 9.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game while shooting 35.8% from the field and 33.3% from three-point land. Aside from the shooting percentages, Clowney achieved career-highs in most of his statistical categories, including points, rebounds, and free-throw percentage while showing that he still has improvement areas of his game.

While Clowney did not shoot the ball as well as he did during his rookie season when he shot 53.8% from the floor and 36.4% from deep, it's clear that head coach Jordi Fernandez was trying to get Clowney to lean into his role as a power forward who could stretch the floor with his three-point shooting. To that point, Clowney's three-point attempts per game jumped from 1.4 during his rookie year to 5.7 attempts this season while shooting within a few percentage points.

As Clowney showed some promise with his three-point shooting, he also showed some signs of regression in the other parts of his game, including his effectiveness inside the three-point line and finishing at the rim. Not only did Clowney shoot just 41.4% from two-point range, he was also one of the worst players in the league attacking the basket as he had the 10th-worst shooting percentage in the NBA within eight feet of the basket of players with at least 1.9 field-goal attempts from that distance per contest.

Be that as it may, it seems that Fernandez and his teammates still believe in what Clowney can be given what he has put on tape thus far along with the fact that he's still just 20 years old. Here are some of his highlights from his 2024-25 season that showed what he was able to do for a Nets team that was looking for anyone to produce during a 26-56 season:
