With the 2025 volleyball regular season concluded, the Big Ten Conference announced the winners of its various accolades and awards. Nebraska stood out in front, with setter Bergen Reilly taking home two of the Big Ten's top awards.
Reilly was named the Big Ten Setter of the Year and the Big Ten Player of the Year. She also made first team all-Big Ten, alongside Harper Murray, Rebekah Allick and Andi Jackson. Laney Choboy and Taylor Landfair made second team all-Big Ten, while Virginia Adriano made the conference's all-Freshman Team. Maisie Boesiger won the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award. Dani Busboom Kelly also won the Big Ten Coach of the Year.
This is Reilly's third straight year winning Big Ten Setter of the Year and third year being named first team all-Big Ten, but it's her first Big Ten Player of the Year. She is just the second Husker to win Big Ten Player of the Year, with Kelsey Robinson earning the achievement in 2013. Reilly is also the first Nebraska setter to win conference player of the year since Greichaly Cepero in 2002.
The Sioux Falls, South Dakota, native earned her awards after finishing the regular season with 938 set assists, 248 digs, 59 blocks, 14 service aces and 65 kills off 140 attacks with a .400 hitting percentage. In conference play, she averaged around 10.5 assists per set. In her career, she holds 3,562 set assists, placing her sixth all-time in school history and third in the rally scoring era.
Now, Reilly leads Nebraska into its 44th straight NCAA Tournament with a chance to lead the Huskers to a national championship for the first time since 2017. The Huskers open up the tournament at home against Long Island on Friday night. The first serve is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
