Nebraska football offered class of 2028 four-star edge defender Arthur Jones on Wednesday evening. Jones made a post on social media discussing the offer.

Jones is the 21st overall edge defender and the second overall player in his class from the state of New York, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. He measures in at six-foot-three, 225 pounds.

He has an extensive offer sheet that includes Penn State, Syracuse, Rutgers, Notre Dame, and Purdue. He recently visited the Nittany Lions on June 10.

Currently, Nebraska has no commitments in the 2028 recruiting class. This is to be expected, as the program just recently wrapped up recruiting for the 2027 group.

Edge defender has been a priority for the Huskers, and coach Roy Manning has made it a point of emphasis in recruiting. There is still a long way to go before signing day for the 2028 class.

At the very least, it’s good to see that the Huskers are doing due diligence in recruiting for the position. Edge has been a weakness for the program in past years, and now it seems as though they are addressing it.
