About a year ago Marc Stein broke some Suns news. I don't recall the information (maybe the Oubre trade) but it turned out to be good information.

They trade Oubre and I’ll be about done with them this year. I love Oubre, but he’s more valuable to us in Phoenix than he is around the league because;

A. He wants to be here
B. He’s well liked by his teammates
C. He’s the soul of the team

You’re not bringing back anything that has more value with an Oubre trade.

Again, if they get a good player of value for him, particularly at power forward, they need to consider it.

What power forward would you trade him for. I can't think of any that are realistic.

Maybe for Gordon with no pick included - but I am not crazy about that idea.

If they trade him for Love or Gallo I will seriously have to consider my continued fandom.

I'd be disappointed if the Suns trade Oubre. He is the heart of the team.

If they do, they better get something really good in return.

They might not get something good but they will get good player contract in return.

I'm not sure what you are saying. Oubre is worth every penny of his contract.

Yeah I don't get this either.

Do you mean a longer contract because you think we will lose Oubre after next year?

What about Tyler Johnson and Oubre for DLO.

I would have to think long and hard about that one.

Problem is how do we get rid of Ricky. I don't think any good team will want him.

Gordon, Favors or Randle would be fine for me. I agree with you on Love and Gallo, though I maintain my prediction that James Jones in his idiocy is just going to keep stocking the roster with unathletic, no-defending, one dimensional Luke Kennard and Cam Johnson types, while adding to that pattern by throwing over $20 million per season at Gallo in the offseason...

When the Suns had the opportunity, they should have signed Oubre to a longer contract with the intention of keeping him.

I'm not sure if they can offer him a new contract until his current contract expires.

I don't know maybe Randle, but I don't think he fits Monte's system. Favors is not good enough. Gordon's numbers this season are actually a lot worse than last year which is concerning.

I don't think any of those 3 are good enough.

Suns may be looking to still deal for Kennard with our pick who would take a bunch of the oubre minutes. Then get like gordon for oubre.

I am not sure if we would be better off or not with those two deals.

Randle does nothing for me in this system playing next to Ayton. I wouldn’t complain but I wouldn’t be wowed.

You know Morris actually fits Monte's system perfectly I think.

It's kind of too bad history will not allow that to happen.

throw in two first rounders and you probably get him.

the suns need a perimeter player who can initiate the offense when Booker is double teamed or not on the floor. When that happens this team falls apart. We do not need a defensive rebounding forward I mean we do but we have more pressing needs

A defensive rebounding power forward is by far our biggest need. It isn't even close. We actually need at least TWO of those.

My bad. I meant whatever cast off we get in return will have to have a matching contract.

It would not take two first rounders. I don't even think it would take one.

He is overpaid and everyone knows it, it drops his value.

I also don't think power forward is as big a need as a scorer is. Our bench minutes destroy us because they cannot score at all.
