The Nashville Predators have signed goaltender Justus Annunen to a two-year, $2.5 million contract extension.
The extension will begin following the 2025-26 season, keeping Annunen in Nashville through 2027-28.
Annunen, 25, has a 3-5-1 record with an .875 save percentage through 12 appearances this season. Last season, his first in Nashville, he finished 9-11-1 with an .888 save percentage.
The Predatorsacquired Annunen in November 2024 in a trade that sent goaltender Scott Wedgewood to the Colorado Avalanche. Since then, he's started 29 games for the Predators, backing up Juuse Saros. In 2024, the Predators signed Saros to an eight-year, $61 million contract that began this season.
Annunen was originally a third-round pick by the Avalanche in 2018. In 64 NHL appearances, he has a 28-25-4 record with an .892 save percentage.
Annunen is from Kempele, Finland, the same hometown as Pekka Rinne.
