Nashville Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne has been announced a 2026 inductee into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Rinne will be the second Predators player, along with Shea Weber, to be inducted into the hall of fame.
Rinne, an eighth-round draft pick in 2004, won 369 games over 15 seasons with the Predators after his arrival in the 2005-06 season. He won the Vezina Trophy as the league's top goaltender in 2017-18. He also represented Finland at four IIHF World Championships, winning MVP of the tournament in 2014, and he surpassing Kari Lehtonen for all-time wins among Finnish-born goalies in 2020.
“The honour represents me and all of the members of the Nashville Predators organization," Rinne said in a statement. "It’s surreal to think I will be joining my teammate Shea Weber in the Hockey Hall of Fame.”
Weber was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2024.
The 2026 Hockey Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Nov. 9, 2026.
