MNF insanely huge black bar

What is up with that ridiculously huge black bar at the bottom on the screen on MNF? It takes up about 1/6 of the screen. It is very distracting and stupid and serves no purpose.

What's even worse is that when they show replays, the black bar is gone so you can see the whole shot.

I totally agree. THey are killing almost 20 percent of the viewable screen. LAME
