Shea Langeliers enters the week with the second-most home runs among MLB catchers. He’s produced since the start of the season and isn’t slowing down. The catcher has aided in the Athletics’ lead atop the AL West.
The second-year player continues to make a name for himself. He’s been one of the best offensive-producing catchers in the National League and throughout Major League Baseball. If he stays consistent, he will receive his first All-Star selection.
Jeffers was off to the best start of his career, but hand surgery will force him to miss the next two months. It’s a tough break for one of the best stories early in the 2026 season.

Contreras righted the ship after a slow start to the season. He enters the week as one of Milwaukee’s top RBI producers. The Brewers will contend for the NL Central throughout the season, and William Contreras will be relied upon to produce in key situations.
Dingler enters the week amid a slump. The Detroit catcher had a quick start to the season but has struggled recently. He’s still on pace for career highs in nearly every statistical category.
Goodman enters the week with mixed results. The Rockies’ catcher hasn’t had the ideal start to the season. Hunter Goodman must lower his strikeout rate.

The Baltimore catcher has found success, and he’s producing each week. Entering the week, Rutschman is second in RBI for the Baltimore Orioles. If he can stay away from prolonged slumps, Adley Rutschman will surpass his 2023 career-best 20 home runs.
Basallo has been successful in the early part of his first full season. He’s displayed power but is striking out at a high rate. Samuel Basallo will have moments of adjustment, but the Orioles have a future star in the making.
Consistency and strikeouts have given Sal Perez mixed results. However, he enters the week locked in. In the twilight of his career, the Kansas City catcher possesses the most power at the position.
