Sounds very much to me like KM will not be in the picture.
If he even remotely thought he could reinvent KM he would've said it right there, his response to the question told us all we need to know. "I'm not gonna answer that question today, we've had some discussions behind closed doors"=Kyler Murray isn't our QB.

As much as I have been a Kyler stan, as the cool kids call it. It's best we now move on from him. Need to trust ML to find his guy, keeping my fingers crossed it isn't just bridge after bridge though.

In theory, but sometimes that is easier said than done. My guess, having been around Kittle in SF, Mike will have an idea of the type of usage you should give a top TE vs an average one. How to best exploit the attention a top TE gets in the middle of the field or one on one.

My initial guess is we will see a lot of 12 personnel again and hopefully Mike has a better plan in generating big plays out of it.
Supposedly he was a big part of the Rams implementing more 12 and 13 personnel.

Don’t blame him if he don’t want Kyler…he doesn’t fit his offense

So is ML going to animated or stoic on the sidelines during the games?

I think in control while calling plays, but able to go off on the refs
Or stand there with a 3x5 card over his pie hole with a vacant stare. I don't know why that bothered me as much as it did but it drove me crazy (I know, I know, that's a short drive).

I wish someone asked him “What does your ideal prototype Quarterback look like? Do you prefer taller pocket passers or a QB with mobility?”

Thought this was interesting from LaFleur on the Rams "organic" offensive evolution:"We organically built to that 13 personnel. It wasn't like we were sitting here a year ago, saying we're probably gonna be the most 13 personnel usage in football. That's an absolute lie."
This is music to my ears. This is what coaching is about. There should be no such thing as this is “my scheme”…It HAS to be built around players and their strengths and even your opponents strengths and weaknesses on a weekly basis. It’s obvious stuff but this is what separates the great coaches from the mediocre ones.

For all the amateur GM's who don't want KM back as QB, let us know who you do want. And, try not to say, "Get a Brock Purdy or Tom Brady" in the 6th or 7th round and hope we get lucky.
If Malik Willis is a consideration I think ML would get some real inside info from his brother.
A. The Packers are not going to pay Willis 20-25m to stay.
B. His brother is not going to give him a false narrative.
Now there are more than a few here that will moan about taking a shot with Willis no matter what ML thinks or knows. Also 20-25m is not a lot of money for that position anymore.
Bottom line we gotta kind of trust our new coach and decisions made this off season.

How about a tall pocket passer with mobility?
I was thinking maybe he would slip and say tall pocket passer and answer the Kyler question….. but I’m sure he would have been smart enough to say “whoever gives us the best chance to win”

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, at least Mike will be able to get the real inside scoop on Malik Willis and if he's worth the investment. His brother will give him all the info.

I don’t think it matters. I think Kyler wants out.

There’s a whole thread on the topic.

I wanted a proven HC and foundation setter like Brian Flores.

MLF is 100% potential and risk -I don't like it all.

Which of course means he will be amazing.

I mean...kinda. As MLF said, he has core and foundation principles that are non-negotiable. That said, he is willing to tweak the other things to match personnel and skill sets. Kliff was similar. It's why Kyler won't probably be a fit for MLF despite this sentiment because Kyler's skill set doesn't really fit those core principles.
