Will be interesting who is on the staff. Gannon’s downfall was that he did not have a strong staff, particularly the coordinators. And they have to find a way to keep players healthy and on the field.
Gannon used a similar age requirement on hiring coaches that DiCaprio uses when dating women.

I was being sarcastic of course.

Cautiously optimistic, the prior 3 OC's from the Rams have all been pretty good head coaches so it suggests McVay knows what he's doing when he picks an OC so hopefully this is a good move.

Now we gotta figure out QB and the draft.

I can get behind Ron Rivera as the DC. Experienced and he can help the transition for a new young HC. For OC, go Josh McGown. He is liked my Bidwill and he can sharpen his skills while implementing LaFleur’s offense. I’d be okay with Webb too! I just don’t the other OC’s suggested and too lazy to look them up.

As I said in the stickied Head Coach search thread, I'm really honestly pretty freaking happy. Kubiak was my 1st choice even before Gannon was fired, but I think this is a legitimately good hire, hurting our division opponents, and finding someone to maximize our offensive talent.

I'm really interested to see who we get on staff. It'd be awesome to get Scheelhaase, but I imagine he'll just be promoted in LA and likely wouldn't leave to coach here instead.

When LaFleur completed his two-day interview with Arizona last week he was told the organization had one more interview to complete. Arizona told each candidate they wanted to complete the process of interviews before making any decision. Again - There were 6 in-person interviews, four of them started with a zoom interview first and 10 other zoom interviews that did not get to the in-person point.

So the reason we interviewed Kubiak was to push the Raiders to hire him so we get LaFleur and both the Seahawks and Rams lose their OC's?
They purposely used themselves as leverage ? That would be interesting

To be clear I am totally joking I do NOT think that's what happened.

But as a Cards fan always looking for something positive. My guess is either we knew Kubiak would take the Raiders job, or we interviewed him and it confirmed LaFleur was our guy
