I wouldn't hang my hat on this kicker. His 2 FG's weren't exactly things of beauty and even his extra point barely made it.
true... but he is also a rookie....their last rookie couldnt make anything... this kid could grow

I wouldn't put Rosen out there till he has a better supporting cast. Who the hell is he going to throw the ball to? Who is going to block for him? The entire offense is a work in progress and everyone is learning on the job at this point.

Why throw your future to the wolves this early? If he goes out there with no chance to succeed and fails or gets hurt then the Cardinals future is pretty bleak.

Let the offense get more experience playing together in McCoy's system first. I wouldn't put Rosen in till after the Bye week. That way Rosen can work with the first team for a full week during the Bye.

So he should be inactive?

Put Glennon in to see if the same problems continue. Glennon is a completely different type of QB than Bradford. If the same problems continue, you know it’s the staff. If we have an insane coaching staff, I don’t want them developing a 21 year old QB

As I said in the TNF thread, when Mayfield came in the entire complexion of the game changed. After Taylor missed a wide open Calloway on what should have been a sure explosive TD when he threw up a bloated goose that was easily tipped away then ripped his receiver only to have Mayfield come in throwing lasers, you can see the Browns energy just pop. Win or lose, the Browns came together as a team in that game and it wouldn't surprise me to see them win 8 or 9 games this season. I know we still have to see how he does against a team that prepared for him but if tonight is any indication I believe we might have witnessed the death of the laughing stock Browns tonight.

That would make the Bills the laughing stock with us number 2 with a bullet

Ahg - those teams don’t have a top quality QB like Sam - first it’s all about his knee - now it’s all about short passes - fact is our run game is pre season soft, and cards won’t get better till the run game gets going. We had what 13 DJ carries to 27 passes again? Better than 9 last week but still not good -

I don’t think it will ruin Rosen - but I don’t think he is better than Bradford yet - no matter how long loud folks shout it.

they are not just conservative with the playcalling but even with the obvious roster decision

if you want to find out if the problem is the QB you have to put in the same type of qb... a cerebral guy who makes his living reading the defense and throwing accurate passes...... Rosen is that guy.
Glennon is not as accurate...we would see lots of turnovers,...then folks who dont really understand would be saying "see there...he is doing worse than Bradford"
not to mention... its hard to think the rest of the team is gonna get jazzed up and start playing harder for Mike Glennon,...so you lose that benefit of making a change.

Rosen is not the same type of playmaker as Mayfield... but Bradford is very similar to Taylor when he is in the pocket...sans mobility... neither Taylor nor Bradford will make small window throws. which means if the WR is not wide the cluck open they are gonna check down. neither give their WR's the opportunity to fight for the ball... both guys play to protect the ball instead of playing to win the game.... also, neither Bradford nor Taylor are the type of QB to throw a guy open.... that means throwing the ball to a spot where the WR isn't so he has a chance to break away from the coverage and go get the ball.

Josh Rosen does both of those things. He will throw a guy open, and he will make small window throws. These were two of his best assets leading in to the draft. Glennon may do some of those as well...however, he has not shown the accuracy to do so effectively during his NFL career nor has he shown consistent decision making during live action.

count me in as one who would prefer Rosen get a full week of starter reps before being thrown to the wolves.... but make no mistake in the matter... we dont want to see Mike Glennon taking snaps unless Bradford, Rosen, and skinny Ronnie from sec 102 row 3 have all gone down

Everything they’ve done right offensively today has nothing to do with them getting the run game going. Get a clue

Hogwash - TOP is going to kill the entire team - front your perspective every coach in the history of earth is wrong and not credible?

I know you don't get but the league has changed. Three yards and a cloud of dust is gone brotha, time you move into the 21st century of the NFL. I love that kind of fo0tball myself but in this day and age its instant gratification.
