I'm really liking what Payne brings to the table.

I would still like to have seen the Suns get a role-playing starting Center
and move Ayton to Power Forward. It would take pressure off Deandre
to see if he can become solid at a position.

All he contributes to Center is empty stats.

At least he's getting to the line. That's the only positive so far. He's matched his 4 game preseason total of FT's already.

That is a big mistake. He's had 2 years of development as a Center. Giving up and moving him to PF for a role player would be admitting defeat as far as turning him into the C everyone thought they were getting. He is only 21 years old also, it's too soon to abandon hope he becomes a good-great Center. He is a good Center most nights but when he craps the bed, like he has tonight, he makes a real mess.
