This just tells me you don’t understand our talent. The only guys on the team that can “go to the hole” as a consistent offensive strategy are green and book. And even book struggles against length. Gillespie and Allen can do it if book is on the floor to create gravity but not so much, at least not consistently, when book and green are out. Your philosophy would be a train wreck when green and book are out, like had been the case.![]()
The overreactions to the reactions are ridiculous, thank you. To a statement like "I don't trust their offensive strategy"--! Shooting from distance is "cool" (if much less than it used to be), but I believe in going to the basket whenever possible, and not relying on shooting from distance; and I stand by that. And, yes, I also stand by my wish to fire the offensive strategist assistant coach if there is one. In the NBA, that would be what you do with a coach or assistant coach who gives bad advice. Get rid of him. You can win a championship with his offensive strategy, and good defense, if your team has Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
Mmm...perhaps coach Ott doesn't have an offensive strategist. That would also explain much. In that case, he should get one. As long as it's not Mike D'Antoni.
