I wonder if this has to do with trade compensation back to Atlanta. Obviously he sucks...... yeah....... but if snap counts or playing time moved the draft picks around it makes perfect sense.

It looks like his contact is a big reason too. 12M guaranteed next year. 29M total. Colts can save 19M by him not playing in case he gets injured.
