Mark Andrews has interesting response to Ravens' TE room changes originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Baltimore Ravens had one of the better tight end rooms in football over the past couple of seasons.
With Mark Andrews, the veteran, and up-and-comers in Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar doing well with their limited snaps, it felt like Kolar and Likely would take over from Andrews.
But that didn't happen as Andrews signed an extension and both Likely and Kolar moved on in free agency, leaving the tight end room looking vastly different.
Now, Andrews is set to once again be the focal point for Lamar Jackson, but is he ready for that?
"I feel like we've had a great room in the years past, and [I have] always felt like that guy," Andrews said via NFL.com. "I don't think that ever changes. So, that's an interesting question. But I think that for (Likely), I'm excited for him and his opportunity. I'm excited for Charlie and his opportunity. I'm going to continue to get better and grow my game, and I think there's going to be a lot of opportunities in this offense."

Is Andrews still "the" guy?
Well, he's coming off his worst-ever season in the NFL for yards (422), third-fewest receptions (45), and second-worst touchdowns (5). All of that came in 17 games as well.
So, Andrews hasn't been the top-flight weapon for Lamar since 2021, when he surpassed 1,000 yards, so maybe the Ravens have faith he can get close to that in 2026.
With no Likely or Kolar, the Ravens' tight end room has lost a lot of promise, given that Isaiah was tipped by many to be Andrews' successor. Now he's no longer there.
Yes, Andrews knows there's going to be more opportunities on offense, but can he take advantage of them?
