Marion Star Boys, Girls Preseason Soccer Player of the 2026 polls

With the start of the soccer season Aug. 14, it's time for fans to pick their favorite boys and girls players in the annual preseason player of the year polls.

The polls run concurrently through the early morning of Aug. 21 at MarionStar.com and its app, and fans may participate as often as allowed.

Here are the nominees for 2026:

• Rodric Gomez, junior, Pleasant, first-team MOAC 2025.
• Cooper Halpin, senior, Pleasant, second-team MOAC 2025.
• Cooper Mullins, senior, River Valley, second-team MOAC 2025.
• Coben Reser, senior River Valley, first-team MOAC 2025.
• Jeffrey Stimson, junior, Marion Harding, second-team MOAC 2025.
