Luka Doncic Names His Favorite WNBA Player Without Hesitation

Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers are currently working through the NBA playoffs, competing against the Minnesota Timberwolves in a first-round series.

The Lakers trailed Minnesota 2-1 in the season series. Los Angeles took home Game 2 of the series 94-85, after losing Game 1, 117-95. They also fell to Minnesota 116-104 in Game 3.

Amid the NBA playoffs, Doncic sat down for a one-on-one interview where he discussed some of the best players in the WNBA.

When speaking on the WNBA, Doncic reveals his favorite basketball player in the league. As soon as Doncic was asked who his favorite women's basketball player was, Doncic quickly answered.

"Caitlin Clark," Doncic said.

“who’s your favorite women’s basketball player?”

Clark is heading into her second season with the Indiana Fever. Last season, Clark led the Fever to their first playoff appearance since 2016, capping off the regular season with a 20-20 record.

During her rookie season in Indiana, Clark recorded 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game. She led the WNBA in average assists and led all rookies in average scoring.

Clark and the Fever ultimately lost to the Connecticut Sun in the playoffs.

Clark was drafted by the Indiana Fever with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. She made the move to the WNBA after four seasons with the Iowa Hawkeyes.

During her time with the Hawkeyes at the collegiate level, Clark became the NCAA's all-time leading scorer for both men's and women's basketball, scoring 3,951 points in her four-year career.
