WTF? Why do these clowns play? Qualls was "ok" the 1st 2 weeks of the season and now leads the team in L's from the pen! Burke has blown since the start and now is sporting a .168 avg. Is there anyone in the minors that can play? This is the problem with baseball and veterans and the idiot managers that go by the "unwritten rules". I dont care what there experience or their pay is or who was traded for them. They must sit or be released.

Burke's only value tonight would have been as a defensive replacement in LF.

Instead, Melvin used him as a pinch hitter, then removed him from the game leaving 3B Mark Reynolds playing 1B for the first time in his Major League career (where he immediately made the error that lost the ball game) and Conor Jackson (who has at least logged plenty of time at 1B) in LF.

How can Melvin be so completely illogical?

Then after the game, Melvin told the Press about the "little" tough spell the D'backs are in.

It's almost laughable.

Well, we're under .500 now and the Dodgers are just 1 1/2 games behind. Closer and closer to Melvin being reassigned as an Assistant to Somebody upstairs and Chip Hale taking over as Manager.
