Screw this! This is total BS. There better be a trade or free agent signing.
Oh, and screw #31 and #34.

And he WAS improving over the course of this season. A lot. At the beginning of the season he was truly awful. By the end, I trusted him more than Brook, even on offense.

Uhh... look at their stats again by the end of the year... maybe you were confusing the two of them... Brook clearly was doing better offensively then Robin. They cannot even be compared.

In other news, the Blazers are going to be pretty ridiculous in a couple years extending that closed window of ours even further.

Here's the transcript of the ESPN chat:

Doug (Columbus): your brother said he was better. what do you say?
Robin Lopez: What do you think I'm going to say?

Joel (Prague): For Robin are you excited to get to learn from Shaq
Robin Lopez: Definitely. Very excited. He treats his rookie big men very well.

shaun (detroit): can you rap better than shaq?
Robin Lopez: I can't rap better than him, but I definitely have a better singing voice, I think.

mitch weber (milwaukee): how do you think you are goin to like the new city of phoinex
Robin Lopez: I've heard great things about it from my friends in Stanford.

George (Philly): Your Brother told me to ask, who'll be better and who is better looking?
Robin Lopez: I am. It's because of the hair. The hair plays. I've said this so many times. The hair plays.

Deron (New Orleans): How will you fit into the Phoenix offense?
Robin Lopez: I think I can be a great facilitator. I'm a great passer out of the post.

Jordan (Chicago): You excited to play with Nash?
Robin Lopez: Very. He practically gift wraps the ball for the players.

Nathan (lexingtonk ky): who do you want to match up againt the most next year?
Robin Lopez: I'm going to go with Brook right now because I don't want to anger anybody.

Caos (NY): Is your haircut a copy frm the simpsons guy?
Robin Lopez: I'll take that as a complement. He's a criminal genious. Couldn't have a better complement.

Robin Lopez: Thanks for your support. I know I'm going to have a good time in Phoenix.
Buzzmaster: Thanks Robin!

ugh, they're comparing him to powe, varejeo, turiaf, etc.

don't the suns recognize those guys are taken in the SECOND ROUND?!?

I think some of you are expecting far too much from #15. Powe is a poor comparison because he's undersized, but when everything is said and done he might also look like a good top 15 draft pick. Surely if you went back and redid the drafts with Varejao and/or Turiaf those guys would be top 15 draft picks..

I'm not sure how I feel about Robin Lopez, but I'm not devastated by the pick. I would have been upset had they passed on Rush were a couple of the guys who were off the board by then. However given what was remaining on the board I don't think it was a disastrous pick like many of you do.

Lots of fancy picks still on the board for an early 2nd rounder.

Bill Walker , Nicholas Batum, DeAndre Jordan, Joey Dorsey, Darrell Arthur, Donte Green etc

yeah I agree

Im not too fuzzed with the pick.

Everyone here screamed for a BIG hustler, rebounder, scrapper type.

A Marion but 7 feet.

Robin Lopez is NO WAY near Marion overall, but the energy, hustle, scrappiness... and being a 7 footer...

FINALLY... an athletic 7 footer, he's not just a Kerr pick, Porter would of had a BIG say on who to draft.

They wanted Rush but he was gone....

I'm glad you don't work for the Suns front office. :D

Anyone who watches NCAA basketball knows this pick was a reach. I'm sorry you're irrationally drinking Steve Kerr Kool Aid. What does he have to do at this point to lose your trust?

The worst thing about Robin is the lack of offensive upside. I just don't see him out-pacing even Varejao, and Varejao's offense is weak.

Robin is not a great athlete. He is more athletic than his brother.

I don't think you can really even confidently say he's going to be a bust offensively. Because his brother was so good for Stanford, I doubt they really did anything to develop Robin's offensive game, because, well, they didn't HAVE to. Doesn't mean he will be a good offensive player, but I think it means we should reserve judgment, that's all.
