Lito Shepperd anyone?

Has been released by NY, injuries and $10M roster bonus the main reasons for his release. I think he is the best FA CB option available, could start in the nickel over Adams or Brown and could be our return man, if healthy.

Well he wouldn't cost us a player because he was released. Injuries played a big part of his subpar performance, just saying with all the griping about Michael Adams and Ralph Brown, why not bring in Sheppherd on the cheap to replace them if he's healthy? Nickel CB/return man, still only 28 years old, lowers the need for a CB in the draft.

Better than Adams would be good. But if we draft a CB I have to think he is better than Lito, Adams and Brown. And Lito would have to take a huge paycut to play here.

If we came out of the draft with a CB taken within the 1st 3 rounds then disregard, but I think the Cardinals are going to shore up the defensive front seven and CB may not be a concern for Whiz. If we took Donovan Warren in Round 3, Sheppherd would be a moot point. Of course, I agree Lito would have to come on the cheap in regards to salary to even be a possibility.

In my opinion, he's better than adams, brown and mcfadden. He would be an a good slot covering db. his credentials are better than all the cardinals db's,even drc.
