REALLY wish we had Lamb or Ruggs now instead of Simmons (not writing him off, but the WRs look damn good).

We need a #2 WR badddddddddd.

Who's to say that if we drafted Lamb or Ruggs that they wouldn't be sitting the bench like Isabella or Simmons has for running the wrong route or missing a tackle for example?

Find me a single post in this entire thread that says anything of the sort. Because I just went through this thread, and I sure couldn't. The argument the whole time was that Lamb is a great player but we couldn't afford to invest in the luxury of taking him. I still stand by that.





Nothing here says anything about Kirk being better. The most I could find was calling him a "serviceable #2." I'm just sick and tired of redrafting positions. We had 4 picks over 2 years at the position, and traded away a 2nd rounder and paid a guy a ton of money to be our #1. 16 other teams passed on Lamb, too. He was the 3rd WR off the board. He was never realistically an option where we picked.

Were you tired of drafting QBs in the top10 after Rosen? Sunk cost theory: read up.

Please don’t pretend like you and others didn’t clearly imply that we were “set” at WR with our stacked WR Room. You and others have said as much in many threads. You’re all extremely wrong. Admit it and move on. Even with Hopkins playing at top top expectation, our WR play has been mediocre.

I'm sick of the sunk cost theory argument from this board. How about reading up on GMs that draft successful players to fill holes? Yes, I was tired of drafting QBs in the top 10 after Rosen.

We don't need a #2 baaaaaaaad. We need a new GM that stops missing on all but one pick a year. Lamb looks good, sure, but he also has an MVP candidate throwing to him. Let's see what happens with Dalton the rest of the year. Also, maybe we'd be more "set" at WR if Kyler stopped sailing balls over wide open receivers' heads.

I actually like him and Andy. However, they both dont have a large catch radius.

Its part of the reason why Kyler's not willing to throw guys open as much.

I dont know if its play calling or Kyler, but we dont throw downfield to Fitz anymore...like at all.

Seemed like we threw deep to Fitz a lot to beginning the year last year.

Difference with Gallup is he's a legit deep threat. Like a better Will Fuller that opens up things for Hopkins.

Lamb is crushing it in the slot. Even though he can play the outside as well.

Fitz doesn't have the speed to get downfield anymore. By the time he would get there, the pocket would collapse in most cases.

Geez, what's up with all the vitriol and personal attacks on this board?
At this point Lamb certainly looks legit, and it's fun to think about him combined with DHop but who knows if he'd be performing at that level in this offense?
As i remember it, most of us really liked him in the draft but when Simmons dropped to us, IMO it was a no brainer to take him. He was at a huge position of need and by all accounts a top 5 talent, which Lamb was not by popular consensus.
We can, and should, second guess our coordinators ability to use his unique talents, which may never translate in the nfl, but I think 2nd guessing the pick is revisionist history.

I think Isabella can be that guy, but he needs to start consistently making the catch. Against the Panthers he slows up and barely missed a deep shot from Murray that would've been a big play. Against the Jets, he dropped what would have been at least a 17 yard gain with a bit of room to run.

If I'm Kliff I design some plays to get Andy open in space during no pressure situations.
