LeBron James wants to get one band or another back again, according to a report from Kevin O’Connor with Yahoo Sports.

James is lingering on his decision to choose his next team in the hopes that one of his suitors – the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat or Philadelphia 76ers – will trade for either former running mates guard Kyrie Irving or big man Anthony Davis.

The common thread: he won championships with both – with Irving in 2016. He and Davis won the NBA’s bubble championship in 2020.

Is either deal possible. Davis’ team, the Washington Wizards, already declined to trade him to the Golden State Warriors, according to reports.

As for Irving? He’s never seemed at home anywhere, except with his current team, the Dallas Mavericks. He represents a case of what might have been for the Cavs if he had been able to co-exist with James nearly a decade ago.
