I have an old VHS tape somewhere in my house and it’s a 2002 game between the University of Miami and the University of Pittsburgh. I taped the game because I was a huge fan of those Miami teams (Sean Taylor, Willis McGahee, etc…). Kirk Herbstreit was a really young announcer at the time and he obviously talked about the immense talent of that Miami team, but he also talked about a freshman receiver on Pitt who he said made catches that no one had ever witnessed before. That receiver was obviously Larry Fitzgerald. It was actually a pretty competitive game early on, but Miami was just too strong. I have tried to find this catch from Fitz on YouTube, but I just can’t find it. There is a sideline pass where Fitz leaps and is literally flying horizontal above the Miami defenders to make the catch. Herbstreit went nuts and called it the most amazing thing he had ever seen on a football field.

We got a new cowboy corgi puppy and named him Fitz! A bit of a compromise, my wife the English teacher is a fan of F. Scott the writer and for me, in honor of Larry Legend! Fitz approves of Larry’s induction to the hall!
My wife is a Ram’s fan so we named our Corgi Warner.

Corgis are the best dogs.

It's only about an hour and a half drive for me. I'll be there. The SB year, we happened to be staying at the same hotel as the Cards while in St. Louis. Man, what a great time that was!!!! Met Bill Lewis who ran the Cardinals Alumni and he hooked me up with NFC Conference Championship tix and took me around to meet former Cardinal greats like Larry Wilson, etc. Awesome guy. But I digress. My point was, my wife and I were on the elevator and Larry, and his dad happened to get on. It was just the 4 of us. He was super cool and such a nice guy.

I’d really love to be there for the HOF game & ceremony with my sons. What’s the best way to get tickets & find a place to stay?
