The Baltimore Ravens are searching for a new head coach, and the organization has cast a wide net for the next leader of this gold standard franchise. The Ravens coaching search is off and running, and while they've narrowed in on a multiple finalist who'll get second interviews, Kliff Kingsbury could weigh heavily on the future of the franchise.

According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, Kingsbury is the preferred offensive coordinator for the two-time NFL MVP. According to Russini, if the Ravens hire former Dolphins' defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver as head coach, Kingsbury would likely be his offensive coordinator. Weaver was the first candidate to have received a second interview in Baltimore.

"I know for a fact that Lamar Jackson and those receivers would like Kliff Kingsbury to run their offense," Russini said on “The Herd With Colin Cowherd.” "They've shown support. They've been vocal about it. They've been part of some of these interviews. Lamar Jackson is part of these. He's Zooming in, he's in touch with the decision-makers of what he likes, who he's liked."

Kingsbury, the former Cardinals coach, helped Jayden Daniels win Offensive Rookie of the Year honors in his rookie season while the Commanders advanced to the NFC Championship game.

In 2025, things went drastically differently, as Daniels struggled to stay healthy and did not play nearly as well. Daniels missed time with a left knee sprain, a right hamstring strain, and a left elbow dislocation. Washington (5-12) was 22nd in both points per game and yards per contest, as Daniels' offensive totals dropped to 1,262 passing yards and eight passing touchdowns to three interceptions, while only adding 278 rushing yards and two scores.
