Denise Lynam's Instagram page says she's a basketball analyst. Now she can add "college golf coach." Lynam, who goes by Dei, was named the head women's golf coach at La Salle University on Friday.

"We're excited to welcome Dei as our new women's golf coach," Interim Director of Athletics Phil Snead commented. "Dei is a household name in Philadelphia sports and will raise the profile of our program. We can't wait to see her help our student-athletes excel on the course, in the classroom, and in the community."

So looking forward to this! Thank you @GoExplorers We will make you proud! https://t.co/Z9DK4ZC4kW

Lynam takes over the Blue and Gold squad while maintaining her gig as an analyst for the Philadelphia 76ers and their G-League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats. Lynam hosts pre and post-game radio shows on 97.5 The Fanatic for 76ers games. She also works numerous collegiate women's basketball programs across the Philadelphia and the Northeast.

Her dad, Jim, is a former 76ers and St. Joseph's men's basketball coach.

La Salle finished last in the recent 2026 Atlantic 10 Women's Golf Championship. The school has had a women's golf program since 2016-17. Lynam is the fifth head coach in its history.

Lynam and her husband, Tim, are two-time winners of the Rolling Green Golf Club's husband-and-wife tournament in 2019 and 2024.
