Kyler Murray's time with the Arizona Cardinals is coming to an end. The team announced it plans to release the quarterback it drafted No. 1 overall out of Oklahoma in 2019 on the first day of the league year next Wednesday. Murray had already signed with the Oakland Athletics, who chose him in the first round of the MLB draft. Murray took to social media with a statement: "To everyone that supported me and showed kindness to my family and I during my time in AZ, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I wanted nothing more than to be the one to end the 77-year drought for this organization, I am sorry I failed us. I wish this community and my brothers nothing but the best ... " Murray never played in MLB but he is one of many two-sport athletes between the diamond and gridiron.
