The ACC/SEC Challenge began in 2023, and it hasn't been a successful event for the Kentucky Wildcats so far. They're 1-2 so far with losses to the Clemson Tigers in Mark Pope's first season, and North Carolina last year. Their only win came in the debut of the event against Miami. They're hoping to get back to .500 this season.

Last season's loss to the Tar Heels came at Rupp Arena, which means they go on the road this year, and now they know where. It was announced on Thursday that Kentucky will travel east to play the Virginia Cavaliers on Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Virginia is coming off of a terrific season where they went 30-6 and made the second round of the NCAA Tournament. They are returning plenty of talent, and figure to be one of the ACC's top teams. It will be another difficult matchup for the Wildcats, but it should be a fun one for fans. Both teams will likely enter the season ranked in the top 25.

Kentucky and Virginia haven't face each other since 2002, which Virginia won. That was their only meeting in the last 50 years. The Wildcats are 6-3 overall against them, however. They'll try to get win number seven in December.
