The Auburn Tigers will be playing their final home game at Neville Arena on Wednesday night. They will be hosting the Nevada Wolf Pack in the NIT quarterfinals, with a spot in the semifinals on the line. The winner will head to Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis for a chance to compete for a championship.

Auburn enters the game as the favorite once again. KenPom predicts a victory for the Tigers with a score of 81-73. KenPom gives Auburn a 77% chance of advancing to the semifinals to play either Illinois State or Dayton in Indianapolis. New Mexico and Tulsa punched their tickets on Tuesday night with victories.

While Auburn is the favorite to win the game, beating Nevada will not be an easy task. The Wolfpack is 24-12 this season and has a victory over Mountain West champions Utah State. Nevada defeated Murray State and Liberty to advance to the quarterfinals. Against Liberty, Nevada had to rally to pick up the victory. The Wolf Pack went on an 11-0 run late in the game and had big performances from two players. Forward Elijah Price had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Cory Camper Jr. had a triple-double with 10 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists.

This game will be the biggest test of the tournament for Auburn and its lack of depth in the frontcourt. It will be very important for Filip Jovic and Sebastian Williams-Adams to stay out of foul trouble in the game. During his press conference, head coach Steven Pearl mentioned that Nevada reaches the foul line often. In the first two games, Auburn has received great scoring in the second half from Kevin Overton. He has scored 37 of his 44 points in the NIT in the second half. If he can get that going in the first half, Auburn should come out with a win.

Auburn battles Nevada in the quarterfinals of the 2026 NIT on Wednesday at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN2 from Neville Arena.
