MANHATTAN — During his photoshoot at Bill Snyder Family Stadium during his official visit over the weekend, IMG Academy (Florida) defensive lineman Joseph Graves showed off for the cameras, as recruits tend to do.

While showing off in his white No. 75 Wildcats uniform, another person wearing the purple No. 75 jersey and a pink skort ran in, delivered a big hit and laid him out.

The person in the purple No. 75 uniform was Graves' mother. The video went viral, has nearly 4 million views on X, and has been featured on ESPN and other outlets.

"Mama was bringing it!" Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker Mike Singletary told Kay Adams on FanDuel TV.

Kansas State now hopes Graves will be the one laying others out and that he'll be able to stay on his feet.

Graves announced his commitment to the Wildcats on Thursday, June 18. He's a three-star defensive lineman, listed at 6-foot-2, 310 pounds.

He picked the Wildcats over offers from NC State, Arkansas, Florida State and Georgia Tech.

Graves previously played at Booker T. Washington in Tulsa, Oklahoma, before transferring to IMG Academy this past season. He was the Oklahoma 5A-3 District Player of the Year in 2024, recording 82 tackles, 60 quarterback hits and 18 sacks.

No word yet on when Graves' mother will commit and suit up for the Cats.
