The Kansas City Chiefs honored their iconic mascot, KC Wolf’s birthday recently. Arrowhead Stadium hosted two sessions featuring 1,000 members of Chiefs Kingdom, each showing their support for everyone’s favorite wolf.

“Already seeing so many smiling faces. The energy is high, and they’re ready to celebrate big time,” said Jeff Birnbaum, director of partnership marketing with the Kansas City Chiefs, to KCTV 5 News. “Fandom is really fostered at a young age. And once you capture that fandom when you’re a kiddo, we’ve seen that that fandom lasts for a lifetime.”

Kansas City’s favorite wolf celebrated another birthday, and thousands of young Chiefs fans showed up to help.

Build-A-Bear partnered with the Chiefs for the event, honoring Wolf, who has been a mainstay of the organization at Arrowhead Stadium since 1989. The franchise held a Toys for Tots toy drive during the event, while children made miniature plushes at stations.

The family-friendly event was another highlight for the team as the offseason roster moves roll on, following a flurry of changes to begin the new league year.
