Apparently what drew OG screenwriter David Koepp back to the franchise was to try something new and originally the script had a scene where people came upon two dinosaurs having sex.

From what I gather, that didn’t make the cut but kinda tells you the franchise has run its course.

I heard one cut scene had Scar Jo jumping a dinosaur while water skiing.

the next movie should just lean in... go gonzo stupid... Ouchie and I worked up a version of this messing around on ChatPGT where an asteroid is coming to kill everyone and dinohumanorous start fighting for shelter, with dino's starting to suffer serious PTSD, but just when it seems like they're going to totally destroy each other for the huge shelter bay created by the government, they realize it's not an asteroid but, ALIENS inside an asteroid, setting up the enemy of my enemy is my friend where humans and dino's have to learn to work together to defeat the aliens and in the process two of them fall in love with each other, leading to the next movie where it's all about the first...

Humasaurous - a dino-human hybrid... and now, the movies get smaller and take on the shape of the 4th Apes movie, where the focus is on what to do with the "mostrocity"... ethical concerns, etc. etc.

only for AI to finally become sentient and force the species to come together once again to fight the robots as they try to exterminate humans, dino's and humanorouses.

this might have been the other way around... where AI becomes the frenemy/foe sceanrio in the next one, where dino's and humans work together to defeat AI, but the cliffhanger is an asteroid's headed their way leading to the next movie where it's ESCAPE FROM JURASSIC PARK where a set number of humans and dino's fight to get in the ARK, a huge spaceship that will launch before the asteroid hits in order to repopulate another planet and in the process two of them fall in love, leading to the humasaurous at the end when they land on the new planet and then the last movie is to be or not to be humasaurous question, wrapped up in a cosimc battle with aliens on the foreign planet.
It sounds like a good hilarious B movie! But why the use of ChatGPT?

Because we were playing around with it with our niece. We came up with the basics for every movie but it helped fill in some ridiculous details.

I read a review today that said what dirt do the producers have on Scar Jo how could they possibly have convinced her to be in such a terrible movie.

With her and Temu Chris Evans, all I had to do was squint my eyes and pretend it was a Marvel movie!

Not really hurting her legacy, if that's what you'd call it.

Scarlett Johansson is now the highest-grossing lead actor after $318 million Jurassic World Rebirth opening

Yeah I thought it was funny she's been in some pretty bad movies but they were saying after the Marvel movies they figured she would be able to be selective and they had no idea why she picked this one

Because she grew up with jurassic park and it's iconic?

Yeah, she just loves the series. It's become godawful, but if someone loves a franchise and gets a chance to headline it? I will not throw stones at her. Hell, I would allow Uwe Boll to adapt any story of mine to the big screen, just to get my work out there :D

I guess that makes sense but from everything I've read it's just a horrible movie.

That would make sense to me if Spielberg was behind this one, or if it was based on the books.

it's also a rare female lead action movie and those don't grow on trees, especially for a woman almost in her 40's (i think). At that point, sadly Hollywood starts treating women closer to young grandma or aging mom v. action hero... or anything else really.

I remember being so pissed at my girlfriend at the time on opening weekend of the first film. She wanted to see something else. Jurassic Park was debuting the new DTS Sound system in many theaters.

Theaters at that time were NOT prepared for the new DTS systems in terms of sound proofing. We both were sitting there in our theater and all we could hear through our entire movie was booming sound from the theater next door showing that movie. When the T-Rex screamed I could clearly hear it.

I don't even recall the movie we watched that day. I was jealous of what was going on in the next theater and wished I was sitting in it. LOL.
We were in an old theater in a balcony. The whole balcony shook throughout the movie. It was awesome.

Oh my, could even go all Rosemary's Baby with this. Hopefully the Dino/human sex scene will tastefully shot.

Caught the last forty minutes of this today while movie hopping. It was really dumb and was shocked at how cheap it looked.

I find that strange. We've enjoyed all 7 of the JP movies so far - for our tastes, there isn't a horrible movie in the bunch. Sure, only one is excellent but IMO this series does not drop off nearly as much as most movie series we see. My wife and I rewatched this series recently and we both agreed, this was easily the second best of the JP franchise. We rank the series movies as 1, 7, 3, 2, 6, 4, 5. I can get others disagreeing but I don't understand anyone that thinks this one was worse than 4, 5 and 6.

Scarlett was a draw for me but for us the best part of this movie was the side story about the family just out for a sea cruise. The dad, the two daughters and the boyfriend were terrific.

I am very forgiving when it comes to these movies. For the most part we like the majority of them for what they are. However, this is at the worst....worse then 3....... at best it's on par. I still think it's the worst one of them all. There was just so much dumb in this movie to overlook even in a popcorn film.

Sure, there's some dumb stuff but I really didn't find it any dumber than most of the other action movies I watch. And certainly not dumber than the "series" movies. For example, compare Rebirth to the final Resident Evil or the last Predator movie or the last Underworld film and it's Oscar worthy in comparison IMO. Other than Harry Potter, I can't think of a movie series that I feel holds up as well as JP does.

It's on Prime Video now so I will watch it this weekend and see what I think
