The Arizona Cardinals fired Jonathan Gannon less than three weeks ago.

He already has a new job.

The former Arizona Cardinals head coach will now be the defensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers

Packers are hiring former Cardinals HC Jonathan Gannon as their defensive coordinator, per source.

Gannon was the Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator for two years before coming over as the Cardinals head coach.

In his time in Arizona he did not call the defense, but it is hard to separate the head coach, especially one with a defensive background from the fact the team was bad, to average to miserable defensively in his time.

Now, he gets a chance to rebuild his reputation with the Packers, replacing Jeff Hafley who is now the Miami Dolphins head coach.

Gannon as the defensive play caller had some good defenses in Philadelphia and his final season they were 8th in points against and second in yards, while having the best pass defense in the NFL.
